For my independent reading I have chosen to read "Becoming Steve Jobs" by Brent Schlender and Ric Tetzile. This book talks about all the life of Steve Jobs as a visionary, leader, cofounder and more. It starts at his interview with Brent, which wasn't very good because Jobs wasn't an easy man to interview, because mainly all the questions that were asked were about Jobs past and he wasn't a person that liked looking back, he always looked on what was next. Brent was a really patient reporter that was willing to find out more about Jobs as a man undergoing an evolution full of failures, flashes of insight, missteps, and luck. Jobs was a brilliant men who affected society in both good and bad, because kids, teenagers and adults may be using this technology as a way of learning, searching or studying but in most of the cases they use this technology for social media and that may cause some addiction. As some of you know, Jobs was the inventor of Apple but he was not the only one that helped on making this creation,Steve Wozniak also influenced a lot on this project. Jobs was simply a genius that always went beyond his knowledge, he really wanted to create something that the world had never seen. He also invented pixar and most of the Disney movies. This book really captures some of the best and worst moments of Jobs as a leader, he always wanted to stand out on everything and sometimes that lead him to a wrong path because in some cases he was really rude to people, thats why he was known for half jerk half genius. I really loved the way of writing of this book, because you feel like Steve Jobs was narrating this but then another person comes and starts telling you a memory. I love reading this book because it talked about the men that changed the world, it was amazing knowing all the life of Steve and all the obstacles that he had to face in order to be successful and create one of the bigger companies in the world. I also loved this book because there was many things that I didn't knew about Steve like: he always went to work with the same clothes and with no shoes, he was like a buddha and that he worked for a long time in his house to create Apple. I really recommend this book to all of the people that want to read and are willing to know more about Jobs and all of Steve's journey through the making of Apple and the extraordinary men he was.
